It also tells you which day of the week your chosen date falls on, handy for planning around a Friday deadline or a midweek event. If you enter a date that has already passed, the calculator switches to showing how many days ago it was rather than days to go. The count includes every calendar day between now and your target, including weekends and public holidays, and runs on the standard Gregorian calendar, so there's nothing to configure beyond the date itself.
