Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Yes. The timer uses JavaScript's Date object to track elapsed time, so it remains accurate even if you switch to another browser tab or minimise the window. The alarm will sound when the countdown reaches zero regardless of whether the tab is in focus.

Will the alarm sound on my phone?

Yes, as long as your phone is not on silent mode and the browser tab remains open. The alarm uses the Web Audio API to generate a tone directly in the browser without needing to download any audio files. Some mobile browsers may require you to interact with the page (tap or click) before audio can play.

Can I set a timer for more than one hour?

Yes. You can set the timer for up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. Use the hours, minutes, and seconds inputs to set any duration you need.

What is the difference between a countdown timer and a stopwatch?
