Bold Text Generator

This bold text generator converts anything you type into bold, italic, bold italic and sans-serif bold lettering that you can copy and paste anywhere plain text is accepted. Enter your words in the box and the four styled versions update as you type, each with its own copy button. The trick is that these are not formatted characters at all: they are Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols, a character block designed for mathematical notation whose letters happen to look like bold and italic versions of the ordinary alphabet. Because each styled letter is a real character rather than formatting applied over the top, the styling survives in places that strip formatting completely: Instagram bios, Facebook comments, X posts, YouTube descriptions, WhatsApp messages, Discord names and most other profiles and chat apps. People use them to make a username stand out, highlight one line in a bio, or add emphasis where a platform offers no bold button. Two caveats are worth knowing before you paste them everywhere. Screen readers often announce each symbol letter by letter, which makes styled passages painful to listen to, and search functions usually cannot match styled words against ordinary spellings, so keep these characters for short decorative touches rather than whole posts.

Letters A to Z, a to z and the digits 0 to 9 are converted; every other character, including spaces, macrons and punctuation, passes through unchanged. Italic has no Unicode digits, so numbers stay plain in that style.

Screen readers may announce these symbols letter by letter, and platform search usually cannot match them against normal spelling, so use them sparingly and never for essential information.
