This calculator adds a number of business days to a start date in New Zealand, skipping weekends and, if you choose, national public holidays, to give you the resulting working-day date. It solves a problem that trips people up constantly, because so many deadlines are set in working days rather than calendar days: a tenancy notice period, a settlement timeframe, a payment term, or an official processing time will often say a number of working days, and counting those by hand around weekends and holidays is fiddly and easy to get wrong. A business day is simply a weekday that is not a public holiday, so the calculator steps forward from your start date one day at a time, ignoring Saturdays and Sundays, and optionally the nationwide public holidays in its built-in list, until it has counted the number of working days you entered. You pick the start date, enter the number of business days to add, and tick whether to skip public holidays, and it returns the resulting date and the day of the week. Use it to work out deadlines and turnaround dates with confidence. The holiday option covers New Zealand national public holidays only, so regional anniversary days are not included and should be added manually if they apply to you.
