Age in Days Calculator

This calculator works out your exact age in days, along with the equivalent in weeks and hours, from your date of birth, a more precise and far more interesting way to look at your age than the usual count of years. We measure age in years out of habit, but that hides just how many days we have actually been around, and seeing the real number is both fun and oddly meaningful. People use it to mark unusual milestones, like a ten-thousandth day, which falls a little after a twenty-seventh birthday, or simply to satisfy curiosity, and it is handy whenever a form or record needs an exact age rather than a rounded one. You enter your date of birth, and the calculator counts the actual calendar days between then and today, allowing for leap years so the figure is exact, and shows your age in days, in weeks, and in hours. Because it works from the real dates rather than assuming every year has 365 days, leap days are included automatically. Try it on your own birthday, your children's, or a notable date, and watch the day count tick up over time. A simple, precise way to see your age in days, weeks and hours.

Counts actual calendar days, including leap years, between your birth date and today. A fun, exact look at your age.

How it works

The calculator finds the number of whole days between your date of birth and today by taking the difference between the two dates. Dividing by 7 gives the weeks, and multiplying the days by 24 gives the approximate hours. Leap days are counted automatically.

Worked example

Someone born exactly 30 years ago would be about 10,958 days old, which is roughly 1,565 weeks or around 262,990 hours, the small extra over 10,950 coming from the leap days in those 30 years.
