Housing costs across Nelson
Nelson city is one of the smallest regions in the country by area and one of the most constrained by geography, hemmed in by hills and sea with limited room to expand. That constraint shows in its housing costs, which are high relative to its incomes, and in an ownership rate that has fallen further than most.
