This calculator works out the fees you pay when buying US shares from New Zealand through platforms like Sharesies or Hatch, separating the transaction fee from the foreign exchange fee and showing how much of your money is left to actually invest. Investing in overseas shares from New Zealand involves two distinct charges that are easy to overlook. The first is a transaction or brokerage fee on the trade itself.
