Scientific Calculator

This scientific calculator handles the maths a standard calculator cannot, letting you work through trigonometry, logarithms, exponents and more without reaching for a physical device. Enter numbers and operations either by clicking the on-screen buttons or by typing directly on your keyboard, building up an expression as you would on a handheld calculator. It covers sine, cosine and tangent and their inverses, natural (ln) and base-10 (log) logarithms, square and cube roots, squares, cubes, general powers, factorials, and the constants pi and e. A DEG/RAD toggle switches trig functions between degrees and radians, and dedicated memory buttons let you store a value (MS), recall it (MR), add to it (M+) or clear it (MC) partway through a longer calculation. As you work, the display shows your running expression above the current result, so you can check exactly what you have entered before pressing equals. Results are rounded for display, and very large or small numbers switch automatically to scientific notation so they stay readable. It suits students working through trigonometry, algebra or calculus homework, and anyone doing maths, engineering or science calculations beyond basic arithmetic, whether that is finding an angle, converting a logarithm or raising a number to a power. Because it follows standard order of operations and supports brackets, you can build multi-step expressions with confidence and get an exact result every time.

How to use the scientific calculator

Click buttons or use your keyboard to enter numbers and operations. Trig functions (sin, cos, tan) operate on the current display value. By default the calculator uses degrees; press DEG to switch to radians (button shows RAD when in radian mode). To raise a number to a power, enter the base number then press xʸ then enter the exponent and press equals. The memory functions store (MS), recall (MR), add to memory (M+), and clear memory (MC).

Who this calculator is for

This calculator is for students and anyone doing scientific, engineering or maths calculations beyond basic arithmetic.

What this calculator assumes

  • The expression you enter.
  • Standard order of operations.
  • Angles are in degrees or radians as you set.
  • Results are rounded for display; very large or small numbers may show in scientific notation.
