An orthogonal or right-angled triangle is a triangle in which one angle is 90 degrees. The relationship between the lengths of the sides and the angles of the triangle are the basis for trigonometry. The most famous right-angled triangle is the Pythagorean 3:4:5 triangle which relates to the fact that if the length of one side is 3 units, and the length of the other side is 4 units then the hypotenuse must be 5 units in length.
