How much is my student loan repayment in NZ?

If you are a salary or wage earner in New Zealand, student loan repayments are 12% of what you earn above the annual repayment threshold of $24,128. For example, on $60,000 you repay 12% of $35,872, which is about $4,305 a year (roughly $83 a week), deducted through PAYE.

Below $24,128 you make no compulsory repayments. Overseas-based borrowers repay a fixed amount based on their loan balance instead.
