The Customer Health Score Calculator turns several signals into a single 0 to 100 score and a clear band so you can see at a glance which accounts are thriving and which need attention. You enter four component scores, each on a 0 to 100 scale, covering product usage, support experience, engagement and NPS, then set a weight for each one to reflect how much it matters in your business. The tool multiplies each component by its weight, divides by the total of the weights, and returns a weighted average along with a band of healthy, at risk or critical. Customer success managers, account teams and founders use this to triage their book of business, prioritise outreach and forecast renewals and churn before a customer goes quiet. The strength of a health score is that it forces you to combine leading signals rather than reacting to a single late one such as a cancelled renewal. To make it useful, keep your component scoring rules consistent, for example deciding in advance what a usage score of 80 looks like, and revisit your weights as you learn which signals actually predict churn. It also helps to track the score over time, because a falling trend is often a better warning than the absolute number on any single day. Treat the bands as prompts for action rather than verdicts, and always pair the score with a quick human read of the account. Use this calculator to standardise how your team assesses health, focus effort where it changes outcomes, and catch at risk customers while there is still time to turn them around.
Score = sum(component x weight) / sum(weights). 70+ healthy, 40-69 at risk, under 40 critical.
Each component score is multiplied by its weight, the four products are added together, and the sum is divided by the total of the weights to give a weighted average from 0 to 100. A score of 70 or more is healthy, 40 to under 70 is at risk, and under 40 is critical.
With scores of 80, 70, 60 and 90 and weights of 40, 20, 25 and 15, the weighted total is 3200 plus 1400 plus 1500 plus 1350, which is 7450. Dividing by the total weight of 100 gives 74.5, which falls in the healthy band.
